মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর চিঠির প্রাপ্তি স্বীকার করে পাল্টা চিঠি দিয়েছেন রাজ্যপাল জগদীপ ধনকড়৷ ট্যুইটারে সেই চিঠি পোস্টও করেন তিনি৷ চিঠিতে রাজ্যপাল জানিয়েছেন, মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর অবস্থানে তিনি ব্যথিত৷
রাজভবন থেকে পাঠানো রাজ্যপালের চিঠিটি পুরোটাই ইংরেজিতে লেখা৷ লেটার হেডে হিন্দিতে লেখা, ‘রাজ্যপাল, পশ্চিমবঙ্গ৷’ এবার সেই চিঠিকেই উল্লেখ করে রাজ্যপালকে বিঁধলেন অভিষেক। অভিষেক লিখলেন, ‘আপনি পশ্চিমবঙ্গের মাননীয় রাজ্যপাল৷ আশ্চর্যজনক ভাবে আপনার চিঠির লেটার হেডে ইংরেজি ও হিন্দি ভাষায় লেখা৷ বাংলায় একটি শব্দও নেই৷ আপনার যদি বাংলা অনুবাদ প্রয়োজন হয়, দয়া করে (রাজ্যপাল, পশ্চিমবঙ্গ ) লিখুন৷’

Your Excellency, you are the Hon’ble Governor of the state of West Bengal. Surprisingly your letter head is in Hindi & English but doesn’t have a word in Bengali.

থেমে থাকেননি রাজ্যপালও। অভিষেকের ট্যুইটের পাল্টা জবাব দিয়ে রাজ্যপাল বলেন, ‘খুব ভালো পরামর্শ৷ দ্রুত এই পরামর্শ কার্যকর করা হবে৷ যদিও ইতিমধ্যেই আমি নিমন্ত্রণপত্র-সহ অন্যান্য যোগাযোগের ক্ষেত্রে বাংলা ব্যবহার করা শুরু করেছি৷ আপনাকে লেখা আমার চিঠিতে বাংলাই থাকবে৷ ধন্যবাদ’।
